Kitchen happenings…

I had a fun day in the kitchen today. After going to the market and the organic shop to get some supplies, I got started.

Recap first: Salad with sunflower seed-orange dressing


I also started Matt Amsden’s famous raw onion bread on Saturday and checked it out this morning…


Then I got onto preparing for tomorrow’s dinner party…

And then it was time to move onto something really spectacular…

Raw Strawberry Lavender Ice Cream (with real Strawberry chunks)

Now here’s the recipe because it’s too good to keep to myself:

blend 2 cups raw cashews with 2 cups water, 1/4 piece of vanilla, 1/2 cup agave nectar and blend until really smooth. Add 1 cup of fresh strawberries and 1/2 tsp of dried lavender. Blend. Add 1/3 cup of strawberry chunks, stir and freeze. Stir every few hours to make sure it’s nice and smooth. Then enjoy!

And now for dinner (part of dinner, I had lots more to eat because I was hungry after an 8.5km run and a bit naughty as well, eating some home-made tahini with a spoon hehe).


Now I will get onto finishing my economics assignment and then go and get some sleep.
